Gorenje Group is located in Velenje, Slovenia and consists of a parent company and 80 dependent enterprises. Gorenje is one of the eight largest producers of household appliances in Europe and is a member of the European Association of Manufacturers of Household Appliances (CECED). Gorenje is the biggest production company, and the first net exporter in Slovenia. 95% of their appliances are exported. High-end, energy-efficient home appliances are sold under the brands including Gorenje, Atag, Asko, Pelgrim, Mora, and Sidex to users in 90 countries worldwide, mostly in Europe, USA, Australia, Near and Far East.
Role in the project
Gorenje is running one of the four industrial pilots and providing input to the specification of the ResCoM framework in the Requirement Analysis and Framework Definition work package. Gorenje will provide feedback on the development of the ResCoM platform during the Collaborative Software Platform work package and implement and evaluate the ResCoM framework during the industrial pilot evaluation.
